Town Descriptions- Liana Caez and Carina Gianinni
Royal Docks is a place where everyone goes to for a warm summer day. Each family in town owns at least one boat, and reserves their small couple of yards specifically for their family. Royal Docks was one of the first businesses to succeed in Pleasantville. Supervised by Mr. Paulin’s, the oldest generation of Paulin’s. His grandsons, Rex and Jimmy Paulins own both of the bars; drunks are usual in their family. With a funny, drunk, Mr.Paulins supervising the docks, and a bunch of smiling families, it creates memories worthwhile inside of this town.. Ice cream from the shoppe and fresh clean lake water, there’s always a packed crowd. Our lake, Kill Buck Lake, is one of the most famous lakes in the United States. Summing up the town families and the out of town folks, it creates and fun experience for Pleasantville.
Good grades pay! Mr. and Mrs.Olivey and their three teenage daughters, own the sweet shop in town. Their usual routine was to pass out free cookies to children after school on Fridays, but only if they brought in proof. Their story was always told as happy as any family can be. The shop got numerous customers per day, they made great income, and they were always smiling. Mr. James Olivey always told the story where they gave out cookies to their daughters every time a report card came. Then Mrs.Olivey had the bright idea to make it a thing for every family in Pleasantville. The parents of these children thought it was an amazing idea, which made them think that the kids will hopefully bring their grades up enough for the special occasion every week, They call it, ‘’Good Grades Pay!’’ because their grade pays for their cookies. It made a change throughout the town, but also made the kids extra hyper! For Halloween, they keep the shop open until 10:30pm, just so they could pass out free candy to the kids and even the adults. All in all, the ‘’Olivey Sweet Shoppe,’’ was a big success within this pleasant town.
Need supplies for DIY crafts? It’s just a second away in ‘’Mrs. Beckett’s Crafts & Things.’’ She personally owns the store, which started straight from scratch. She has her son help her out with the place and a couple employees from Travisville just five miles south of Pleasantville. Any wedding events and such things like that, Mrs. Beckett is your gal.
Eating is a pleasure within Pleasantville. If in the mood for seafood, go to Andrew's Seafood. In the mood for something more casual, Jenkins Steak & Fries is the local diner to be for burgers and other greasy treats. The rivalry between the two families are unbearable. They continue to fight for customers and host annual eating contests to advertise their restaurants in and out of town. Mr. Andrews Seafood's affordable and tasty as is Mr. Jenkins, making every one in Pleasantville seem, well pleasant .
